At the May club meeting those members in attendance approved the purchase of an additional 20 club transponders and charging case. In addition we said that we would check with AMB Mylaps to see if there was any deal that we could extend to our club members if they were interested in purchasing their own transponders. They offered a 15% discount if at least 5 transponders were purchased and a 20% discount if at least 10 were purchased. The regular price for each transponder is $339.66 so with a 15% discount it would be $288.71 and with the 20% discount $271.73 each. We’re looking to make this purchase as soon as possible so if you’re interested please contact me and let me know how many you’re looking to purchase. Remember there needs to be a total order of at least 5 for the 15% discount and 10 for the 20%.
As a reminder to all those running gas in their engines tomorrow the spec fuel is from the Mobil located at 123 Berlin Rd (Rt 372), Cromwell, CT 06416. This is located right off I-91 exit 21. All gas will be measured against this for teching purposes. I highly recommend purchasing your gas from this location. Also make sure the container you’re using hasn’t been used for methanol or two cycle fuel. This can contaminate your fuel and cause you to be DQ’d in tech. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thanks
For those running in the unlimited and unlimited champ classes the weights will be as follows. KT 100, small block clone and animal engines will all have a 330lbs assigned weight min in the flat kart class. We will monitor the class and after 3 weeks if there is a need to adjust the weight it will be addressed at that time. Any other motor will need to be brought to tech for a sizing calculation to determine the assigned weight. In the unlimited champs class the weight will be 400lbs for the 3 above mentioned engines.. any other engine will be evaluated by tech to assign the proper weight. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.
An update to all those running Clone engines… The 18″ max length on the header (this includes the flange) has been UPDATED to 19″… This was voted in at the rules meeting. There will be NO EXCEPTION for any header over this updated maximum. Header must be measured through the pipe with a 1/4″ tape measure from the bottom of the flange to the end of the pipe. Any attempts in modifications intended to circumvent the measurement will result in a DQ and confiscation of the part in question.
