Most Commonly Missed Items in Pre-Race Tech.

Hello racers! Here are some of the most commonly missed items in pre-race tech.

• Junior racers- you can NOT run a senior body.
• Fuel lines- all must be secured using a zip tie or something similar.
• Header bolts- must be secured with safety wire or double nutted.
• Exhaust- mufflers must be safety wired or attached with another mechanical device. Header wrap and a brace are required.
• Chain Guard Extension- must be wide enough to cover chain and must extend to back of axle.
• Transponder- must be vertically attached to the front of the left nerf bar. Must use a pouch if being rented from the club.
• Weights- must be double nutted, white in color and with kart number on it.
• Front End- all parts attached to the steering system must be cotter pinned, safety wired or clipped.
• Brakes- rotors must be secured with mechanical locking nut (not nylon locking), cotter pinned, twisted wire or clipped. Any other part attached to the brake system must be cotter pinned, safety wired or clipped. Must have a wolf plate.
• Safety Gear- All safety gear and helmets must be approved by John Latte.

Please make sure you check your kart for these common items prior to heading over to tech. This is NOT a complete list but it will help the tech process go much quicker. Please remember that safety comes first.

One Way Listening Devices Are Mandatory

ATTENTION ALL 2018 RACERS.

Race receiver’s or comparable one way listening devices are mandatory starting with the practice date on April 15th.

Rentals will be available for non-members only on the first race/practice day they attend. They will have to purchase their own device for any future attendance. Ear buds will have to be purchased in addition to to the rental charge.

Rentals will not be available to members. No one will be allowed on the track at any time without a functioning device. Please contact me with any questions.

Battle at Berlin

Thanks again everyone for the warm hospitality. We had alot of mechanical issues and we are sorry we couldn’t put on a better show……but we all had a blast!
